Character Word for April is Integrity

Integrity – Is doing the right thing and being honest this means you follow your morals and the laws and rules of  your community.

Bus 9 will continue to run a late route in the morning and the afternoon.  Students wait in the cafeteria after school.

 

Please excuse the following golfers for the day to compete in the Varsity Palmyra Invitational - Jayson Orr, Zane Allen, Rylee Hanson, and Ashton Garnett.  

 

Students make sure to get your dodgeball teams signed up before the end of the day on Thursday in order to get in the brackets for Friday's dodgeball tournament. 

 

Seniors, also please let Mrs. Jones or Ms. Waller know if you have received any outside scholarships from your parents' workplace or church so those can be announced at the senior awards night. 

 

Yearbook staff applications for next year are available on the bulletin board outside Mrs. McCurdy's classroom. Applications are due at the end of the day on April 17th. If you do not turn in an application you will not be considered for yearbook next year.

 

Students helping with the Mock Accident will meet with Nurse Allen after school today, Wednesday April 10 at 1:45.

 

Juniors and Seniors – If you missed the chance to get your project prom shirt, you have until Wednesday to get them ordered.  

 

8th graders to Juniors:  If you are interested in being a Class Officer and a member of the HS Student Council, applications are on the office ledge and available for pick up.  All applications are due to Mrs. Robinson by April 26th at 3:00 p.m.  Voting for Class Officers will be on May 7th during Class Meetings during IM.

 

There will be a JH Cheer meeting on Thursday, April 11 during Indian Minutes.  Students check in with your Indian minutes teacher before attending.  

 

There will be a HS Boys Basketball meeting on Friday, April 12 during Indian Minutes.  Students need to check in with their Indian Minute teacher before attending.

 

 

There will be a JH Stuco meeting Tuesday during IM in Mrs Robinson's room

 

Mrs. Pafford will be holding Saturday Detention this Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.  Students must sign up on the sheet across from the office.

 

Congratulations to the 8th Grade Class for best participation for National School Breakfast Week!  Please join us in the Cafeteria on April 17th during lunch to receive your ice cream sandwich party!!! 

 

Juniors and Seniors that are bringing an underclassmen or an outside guest to Prom, will need to get a Guest Dance request form from the office.  All request forms will need to be returned by April 25 to the office. 

 

The next Good-Standing Checkpoint on April 23 which will determine eligibility for attending Prom and Hi-Bye dances and other spring activities.  Make sure you are in good standing if you plan on attending these spring activities. 

 

Seniors-Lots of scholarships are due in the next few weeks, please be mindful of those deadlines and turn in applications.

Lunch:  Meatloaf; Chicken patty; Spicy Chicken patty; served with mashed potatoes w/gravy, green beans, pineapple, hot roll.

Opaa to go:  Crispy Chicken wrap; Peanut butter and jelly sandwich; Chicken caesar salad; served with fresh garden salad, chilled fruit, baby carrots w/ranch.

Golf away at Palmyra Invitational at 9:00 am. Leave time 7:00 am.

 

Thursday, April 11

HS Track away at Wright City at 3:00 pm. Bus leaves at 1:00 pm.

Double Header at home against Mark Twain & Wellsville at 4:00 pm. Gate Duty:  K. Fowler

                                                   

Friday, April 12

Mock Accident takes place at 9:00 am.

VFTA Dodgeball at 5:00 pm at the high school.
