Bus 3 & 9 will run a late route in the afternoon.  Students wait on the bench by front doors. 

 

This week is National FFA Week. The Van-Far FFA members are celebrating with a variety of dress-up days, after school events, and community service activities. Please see the flyers hanging in the hallways for more detailed information. Each day, the FFA members would like to provide the students with a fact, statistic, or basic information about agriculture and FFA.   

 

Today's FFA fact is:  The National FFA Organization is one of the largest youth organizations in the United States with 669, 989 members nationally, Missouri has a total enrollment of 25,920 members, and the Van-Far FFA Chapter has 74 members. 

 

The Van-Far Theater will be selling our production T-shirts for this play season. More information is posted on the office window, with order forms on the ledge. You can order now until February 28th.  Any questions please contact Mrs. Hanson, Mrs. Bunge, Jayson Orr, or Aubrey Bunge.  Thank you for your support!! 

 

Please release the Varsity boys from class at 2:10 today so they can go to the locker room and get their stuff ready for the bus which is leaving at 2:30 today.

Please dismiss all Varsity cheerleaders at 2:10 so they can change to leave on bus at 2:30.  

 

An order form for "Strike Out Autism" T-shirts is available at the office.  The Strike Out Autism game is scheduled for April 4th against Community R-6.  Please support a great cause and purchase a shirt prior to February 28th.  Cost is $12.   

 

Seniors please check all the scholarships, when I add new ones, they aren’t at the bottom of the list necessarily, they are put in date order as to due date.  

 

There will be a senior class meeting on Tuesday, February 18th during Indian minutes in the gym.  We will be voting on class trip and discussing class picnic.  Please check in with your Indian Minutes teacher and then report to the gym.

Lunch:  Chicken and wafffles; Spaghetti and meat sauce; served with fresh garden salad, mandarin oranges.

Opaa to go:  Club sandwich; Peanut Butter and jelly sandwich; Italian chef salad; served with fresh garden salad, chilled fruit, baby carrots w/ranch, chocolate chip cookie.

VB Districts away at Elsberry vs. Louisiana at 5:00 pm. Bus leaves at 2:30.

 

Tuesday, February 19

VG Districts away at Elsberry vs. Clopton at 5:30. Bus leaves at 3:40.

Board of Education meeting at 7:00 pm in the high school library.

FFA BBQ from 11:00 to 2:00 pm in the high school cafeteria.
